No Better Friend by Robert Weintraub
This is the story Judy a purebred pointer who meets her owner during WWII and stands by his side during his internment in a POW camp in the Pacific.  Their unbreakable bond during the worst circumstances is one of the great sagas of WWII. 

A Gift from Bob by James Bowen
In the follow up to his best-selling novel “A Street Cat Named Bob” author Bowen tells the tale of his last Christmas spent on the streets with his cat and how Bob taught him the true meaning of Christmas.

County Library Calendar – November 3

Thursday, November 3
Colton – 3 to 6 p.m. – Medicare assistance for current and future recipients offered by SHIBA.  This is an impartial and free workshop for everyone.
Colfax – 3 to 7 p.m. – Thanks for Giving – Customer Appreciation events at the library for 1st Thursday down town.

Friday, November 4

Colfax – 6 to 10 p.m. – Taste of Hope, Hospital fundraiser, Wine, Beer, and sparkling cider tasting as well as live and silent auctions are only part of the fun!

Saturday, November 5

Rosalia8:30 to 2 p.m.  – Coug Refill Station, come into the library to refill your coffee and break up the trip to the Cougar game!

Monday, November 7

Garfield – 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Free Medicare assistance by Joyce and Daniel Leonard, this impartial help will aide those who already participate in Medicare and those who will be joining in the future.

Tuesday, November 8

Colfax – 12 p.m. – Everybody Reads Author Malcolm Brooks will be available for a meet and greet!  Come and see the author of Painted Horses!

Wednesday, November 9
Endicott – 3:30 p.m. – Cool Creations at the library!  You’ll be amazed at what you can create with only 35 Legos!  Call or visit Tia at 509-657-3429 for more information!

Thursday, November 10
LaCrosse – 3 to 4 p.m. – Cool creations with Tami, use your imagination to create something GREAT with only a few Lego blocks! 
Colfax – 6:30 p.m. – Trivia Night at the Hyde Out!  Bring your team or just come in a claim some friends to make a team!
