Meet the High School Artists

The Rural Alliance High School Art Show returns to the Colfax Library February 1-13 during open hours. This exhibit features the creative works of 120 local high school students. Students participating in the show represent schools in Tekoa, Rosalia, Garfield/Palouse, Oakesdale, St. John/Endicott, and Colfax. The community is invited to attend the exhibit and two special programs to help celebrate the teens and their accomplishments. During the Art Show Reception on Monday, February 3 from 6-8p.m., view the artwork, meet the talented students, and enjoy refreshments. A special Meet the Artist program on Thursday, February 6 at 7p.m. will feature six students.
The students will speak briefly about themselves, their artwork, inspirations and aspirations. Both of the events are free to the public and take place in the Norma McGregor room at the Colfax Library.
For more information about these events, contact Patty Mills at Oakesdale School, 509-285-5296 or Nichole Kopp at Whitman County Library, 509-397-4366.

The Meet the Artist series presents an artist from a different discipline each month in an informal setting. The series is held on the first Thursday of the month at the library and is sponsored by the Colfax Arts Council in conjunction with the Colfax branch of Whitman County Library. All programs are free and open to the public
