WCL Calendar Sampling Oct. 9-16


Thursday, October 9
Palouse – 3:45 to 5 p.m. – After School Homework and Game Time – The Center for Civic Engagement (WSU) students are available to assist 3rd graders and up with their homework. Afterwards, enjoy some down time with games.

Friday, October 10
Endicott, LaCrosse, St John & Uniontown – Storytime – Bring in the little ones for fun stories, songs and more every Friday. Visit the online calendar for times.
Colfax – 10 to 11:30 a.m. – Play & Learn – Creative play and sharing for toddlers, preschoolers and parents every Friday.

Saturday, October 11
Rosalia – 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. – Fall Festival Fun – Join Librarian Karen and Ms. Marcy Campbell for an hour of Halloween themed stories and crafts during the Rosalia Harvest Festival.

Monday, October 13
Colfax – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – The Basics of Bread Making – Learn the art of bread making from Kelli Collins and tour Joseph’s Grainery. Pre-registration is required and cost is just $14. Sign up at www.iel.spokane.edu/ACT2 or call (800) 845-3324.

Tuesday, October 14
Uniontown – 9:30 to 11 a.m. – Playgroup – Creative play and sharing for toddlers, preschoolers and parents every Tuesday.
Colfax – 10 a.m. – Tech Tuesdays: Social Media Help – Need help understanding Facebook, blogging or setting up an email? Contact Sara Garza at (509) 397-4366 to register as space is limited.
Colfax – 5:30 p.m. – Bliss Yoga with Dawn Bennett – For cost and registration, contact Dawn at (509) 397-3777

Wednesday, October 15
Garfield – 1:30 p.m. – Early Release Wednesday – Out of school early, and need something to do? Kids are invited to create fabulous, one of a kind masterpieces using a Spin Art. Don’t forget to bring a friend!
Colfax – 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Wazzu Wednesday – Free after school fun for teens ages 12 and up. Explore science, technology, and every day skills with student mentors from the WSU Center for Civic Engagement (CCE).
Uniontown – 3:30 p.m. – Around the World – Children are invited to travel the world through reading, singing and craft projects.

Thursday, October 16
Colfax, Colton & Farmington – After School Program – Exciting after school program in 3 locations. Check the calendar for times and themes.
