WCL Calendar Sampling Oct. 1-8


Thursday, October 1

Albion - 4 p.m. – Thursday Art is making google-eye fish out of cupcake wrappers. Open to all ages but geared to 5-12 year olds.

Colfax, LaCrosse & Tekoa  Preschool Storytime – Reading and STEAM activities for ages 0 to 6.  Check the online Events Calendar for times.

Rosalia – 7:00 p.m. – Teen Movie night with snacks and games for ages 12 and up. 

Friday, October 2

Endicott, Malden, St. John & Uniontown – Preschool Storytime – Learning fun for ages 0 to 6, check the online Events Calendar for times.

Malden – 4 p.m. – Bookworms – Crafts and stories for grades k – 6.

Monday, October 5

Colfax – Fitness Programs – Yoga, Bootcamp, Fit and Fun programs for all abilities - Check the calendar or call the library for more information.

The Center in Colfax – 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Caregiver’s Coffee Group with Melissa Johnson – Everyone welcome, no registration required.

Tuesday, October 6

Colfax – 11 a.m. – Friends of WCL – Open Business meeting with efforts focusing upon library projects, advocacy, volunteerism and financial efforts.

Farmington, Rosalia & Palouse – Preschool Storytime – Fun and reading readiness for age 0 to 6 and their caregivers.  Check the calendar for times.

Wednesday, October 7

LaCrosse  - 1:15 p.m.– Early Out Day – Crafts, games  and other fun activities for grades K-6. 

Albion, Garfield & Oakesdale – Preschool Storytime – Little ones have fun learning for age 0 to 6 and their caregivers.  Check the calendar for times.

Thursday, October 8

Colfax  – 6 – 7:30 p.m. - Climate Change with Peter Haug – What we can do about a changing climate that affects the world we live in? Cost is $10 for two class sessions. To register, please visit http://www.sccel.spokane.edu/ACT2 or by phone at (509) 279-6030.

Rosalia – 3 - 7 p.m. – Quilt Display – Spokane quilt creator, Pat Waller brings a selection of quilts in various styles. In addition, WCL Director, Kristie Kirkpatrick will be on hand with "All Around the County" created by the Whitman Samplers Quilt Guild and currently being raffled to benefit the Center addition to the Colfax branch of the library.  Drop in to explore the traditional craft and visit with your library director.
