Celebrating Our Veterans and the Tradition of Decoration Day

Celebrating Our VeteDecoration Day started in 1868 to honor Civil War veterans. Within 20 years the name was changed to Memorial Day to commemorate all American veterans. Join with us as we honor our Whitman County Veterans, and their families, for their selfless service to our country on Thursday, May 26 at 5 p.m. on the main floor of the Colfax Library.

Celebration highlights include a Color Guard by the Colfax Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop #595, a traditional folk performance by the Ukulele Players of the Palouse, and book donation by Friends of Hospice.
