Guess Who?!?!?

The U.S. Post Office was located on the south side of Steptoe Avenue in Oakesdale, Washington. On the town's first application for a post office the name was spelled as Oaksdale. The post office was established April 1, 1887 at which time an "e" was added to the name and was then spelled Oakesdale. Some information comes from "Whitman County from Abbieville to Zion" by Edith E. Erickson. Recognize someone or have a story to share? Let us know on Facebook!
