More than 50 staffers from WSU’s Center for Civic Engagement volunteered in Colfax last week, working at Jennings Elementary, the Community Garden, Whitman Rehab, a Main Street Cleanup and at the Library. Sporting “Be the Change” t-shirts, the group gathered for an afternoon training session at Schmuck Park as they prepare to guide student volunteers through the 2017-2018 school year.
