Ice Age Floods Presentation Sept. 12

Ice Age Floods Institute: Palouse Falls Chapter & Whitman County Library present the "Inundation of the Palouse River Valley"

Join Lloyd Stoess, president of the Palouse Falls Chapter, on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Colfax Library for a close look at the Channeled Scablands of the lower Cheney-Palouse Scabland tract with evidence of the megafloods that swept through this area as late as 15,000 years ago. We will also explore all the places these flood waters entered the Palouse River Valley. (This presentation is a pre-trip lecture for the Palouse Falls Chapter fall bus tour in October.)

This presentation is free and open to the public. For more information, please call Lloyd Stoess at (509) 954-3927.
