Free cooking class Weds at noon!

Want to make fast and delicious meals using prepared rotisserie chicken? Cooking instructor Carrie Johnson is leading a class called “Planned-overs” on Wednesday, May 22 at noon in the Colfax Library and again in the St. John Library at 2:30. Participants will learn easy recipes, taste yummy samples and leave with lots of great recipes. These classes are free thanks to funding through the Library Services and Technology Act called Transforming Life After 50.

Additional cooking classes coming to the library system in May include Super Salads on May 29 at 4 p.m. in Oakesdale and It’s a Wrap on May 29 at 6 p.m. in Tekoa. A complete list of free cooking classes can be found at the library’s Events Calendar. Residents with questions or desiring cooking classes in their Whitman County community library are encouraged to contact Clancy Pool at 509-397-4366.
