Babe Hollingbery coaches PHS football in 1943...

This photograph was taken of the of the Pullman Junior High School football team in 1943, coached by Orin E. "Babe" Hollingbery. He agreed to coach the team after Idaho, Oregon and Oregon State cancelled college football for the duration of WW II. Before he took the job, the teams last game with Moscow ended in a crushing defeat 19-7. One week after he began coaching, the Pullman team beat Moscow 26-7.
