WCL Calendar Sampling March 12-19




Thursday, March 12

Farmington (2:30 to 4 p.m.) & Tekoa (5 to 7 p.m.) – Explore e-Readers and other Tech Toys – Get hands on experience with over 20 digital devices on loan from the Washington State Library.

Colton– 3:30 p.m – Teen Watercolor Fun – WCL Teen Librarian Nichole Kopp shows teens how to use watercolor pencil techniques to create their own postcards.

Friday, March 13

St. John (Noon to 2 p.m., Malden (3 to 5 p.m.) – Explore e-Readers and other Tech Toys – Thinking of buying a tablet or small laptop? Stop by for hands on experience with over 20 digital devices.

Saturday, March 14

Oakesdale (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) & Rosalia (2 to 4 p.m.) – Computer Basics – Help with basic computer skills including: Resume help, on-line searching and using digital library services.  Preregistration encouraged.

Palouse (11a.m. to 1 p.m.) & Albion (2 to 4 p.m.) – Explore e-Readers and other Tech Toys – Thinking of buying a tablet or small laptop? Stop by for hands on experience with over 20 digital devices.

Monday, March 16

Colton – Noon to 4 p.m. – Explore e-Readers and other Tech Toys – Get hands on experience with over 20 digital devices on loan from the Washington State Library.

Palouse (3 p.m.) & Garfield (6 p.m.) – Use a Computer to Climb Your Family Tree – Get started, organized or extend the branches of your family tree with experienced genealogy trainer Carolyn Arnett. 

Tekoa – 4 to 6 p.m. – Teen Night Blackout Poetry – Participants will create poetry using a book page, newspaper, ink and watercolor with Teen Librarian Nichole Kopp.

Tuesday, March 17

Colfax – Chamber Luncheon – 12 p.m. – Chamber Luncheon – Mayor Todd Vanek discusses the state of the city. This meeting is open to the community. If you are interested in reserving lunch, contact the Chamber at 397-3712.

Endicott – 5 p.m. – Use a Computer to Climb Your Family Tree – Explore on-line resources for family history research with experienced genealogy trainer Carolyn Arnett. 

Wednesday, March 18

St. John (12 p.m.) & Colfax (3 p.m.) – Use a Computer to Climb Your Family Tree – Get started, organized or extend the branches of your family tree with experienced genealogy trainer Carolyn Arnett. 

Uniontown – 3:15 p.m. – 3rd Wednesday Club – Grab your passport and travel around the world in the library. Learn about a different country each month from crafts, games, and food. 

Thursday, March 19

Rosalia (2 p.m.) & Tekoa (6 p.m.) – Use a Computer to Climb Your Family Tree – Explore on-line resources for family history research with experienced genealogy trainer Carolyn Arnett. 

Colfax, Colton & Farmington– After School Programs – Fun, education and snacks for elementary students.  Check the library calendar or call the branch for more information and times.
