Farm to Table Workshop coming July 27th!

Have you ever driven through the rolling hills of the Palouse and wondered, "What are all these grains used for?" Joseph’s Grainery in Colfax, has teamed up with Spokane Community College’s ACT 2 program and the Whitman County Library for a morning packed with yummy goodies and a trip to the farm to see just how Joseph's Grainery takes whole grains and legumes From Farm To Table.

The morning will start at the Colfax Library baking with whole grain and legume flours, sharing cookie and cake recipes. Next, the class will head to the farm (weather permitting). Farmer and Joseph’s Grainery owner, Bill Myers will show you around the operation and those attending will get to learn exactly how the grain being harvested will make it's way from the farm to their tables.

Joseph’s Grainery has been offering these Farm To Table workshops quarterly for the past year. The next scheduled class will be in October and will focus on bread making and touring the farm’s mill.
