WCL Calendar Sampling July 16-23

Thursday, July 16

Endicott – 7 p.m. – Book Club – Join us for a discussion of “The Sky Fisherman” by Craig Lesley

Tekoa – 12 p.m. – Animal Heroes – Create animal masks and art.

Rosalia – Every Hero has a Story – Kids of all ages are invited to our summer reading programs. Check the calendar for times.

All Branches – Teen/Adult Summer Reading – Read and briefly review 3 books now through August 31 for a prize and a drawing entry. One entry per person. Call 877-733-3375 or your favorite branch for information about local promotions and programs.

Friday, July 17

Malden –2 to 6 p.m. – Cool Creations - What can be done with 32 Legos and lots of imagination? Materials for this program are provided by the Washington State Library to help us encourage STEM learning this summer in a fun way.

Farmington – 3:30 p.m. – Summer Reading – Sargent Keith Cooper and his K9 partner are visiting and discussing what they do on patrol.

Colfax – 5 to 6:45 p.m. – Rising Stars Dance Classes with Keri Oldroyd. Call Keri at (509) 432-6961 for more information.

Saturday, July 18

Colfax – 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. – Hatha Yoga – Suzy McNeilly invites everyone to try their first class for free.  All levels are welcome.

Albion – 12 p.m. – Summer Reading Picnic – Finale program with a cupcake picnic in the park.

Monday, July 20

Colfax – 10 a.m. – Fourth Grade Fun – Soon to be 4th graders are invited to have fun with their friends and keep up their reading skills.

St. John – 2 to 4 p.m. – Making Connections – Two programs to help mature adults make connections with the past and the future.  Funded by Empire Health Foundation

Tuesday, July 21

St. John – 10 a.m. – Tween Science – Palouse Discovery Science Center is coming to St. John for a special program for grades 5-8 - Exploring Electricity with Kathy Dawes. Attendance is limited. Please call or message the library to reserve a space.

Palouse and Endicott –Summer Reading Finale – Time for our wrap-up party after six weeks of fun. Check the calendar for times.

Colfax – 4 p.m. – Eric Herman Music and Comedy – All ages are invited to join the fun.

Wednesday, July 22

Garfield, Malden, St. John & Oakesdale – Summer Reading Finale – Games, snacks, and goodie bags are available for summer reading completers.

Colfax – 7 p.m. – Mayoral Candidate Forum – Meet the candidates for Mayor – Incumbent Todd Vanek, Don Henderson and JW Roberts. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters, Whitman County Gazette and Whitman County Library

Farmington, Rosalia & Tekoa – Summer Reading Finale! – Great prizes available for summer reading completers. Check the calendar for times.
