WCL Calendar Sampling Oct. 29-Nov. 5

Thursday, October 29

Colfax  – 5:30 to 7 p.m. – Zombiefest – Grades 6- 8 come for Zombie crafts, walking- dead games, and Zombie-licious treats!  Come dressed in your Zombie best and win a prize!

LaCrosse & Colton - Medicare Supplement Help – Drop in for impartial help from trained volunteers from the Washington Insurance Commissioner.  Check the calendar or call your library for times.

Palouse  – 3:30 p.m. – Crazy 8s – Kids grades K-2 grades build stuff, make music and make messes! Crazy 8s is an over-the-top club designed to get kids fired up about math!

Friday, October 30

Malden  –7 to 8 p.m. – Costume Storytime – Test out your awesome costume, hear Rosie's Scary Tale and other "sorta-spooky" stories

Oakesdale – 1 p.m. – Halloween Parade – Trick or Treat the library along with local businesses.

Colfax, Endicott, Malden, Palouse, St. John & Uniontown – Preschool Classes – Fun and reading readiness for ages 0 to 6 and their caregivers.  Check the calendar or call your library for times and details.

Monday, November 2

Colfax – Fitness Programs –Bootcamp, Fit and Fun programs for all abilities - Check the calendar or call the library for more information.

Tuesday, November 3

Colfax – 11 a.m – Friends of the Library business meeting – join to help with WCL advocacy.

Endicott – 11:30 a. m. to 1p.m. – Play and Learn– Parents/caregivers drop by with your young children for free play and socialization.  Funded by Child Care Aware through DEL of Eastern Washington

Colfax – 1 to 2:30 p.m. – Tween Science for grades 5 & 6 - Makey Makey Circuit construction kits incorporate STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading/Writing, Engineering, Art & Math) fun! Space is limited so please call Sheri or Nichole at 397-4366 to register. Sponsored by Washington State Library.

Wednesday, November 4

Oakesdale – 2:30 p.m. – Professional Gift Wrap Secrets – Learn how to create the perfect corners and how to make your own bows funded by Sun Edison’s Palouse Wind Farm. All ages Welcome.

Albion, Garfield & Oakesdale – Preschool Storytime – Fun learning and social activities for age 0 to 6 and their caregivers.  Check the calendar for times.

Thursday, November 5

Albion - 4 p.m. – Thursday Art - Open to all ages but geared to 5-12 year olds.  Programs are led by WSU students.

Colfax, Lacrosse,Malden, & Tekoa – Early Learning Fun – Socialization and reading readiness for age 0 to 6 and their caregivers.  Check the calendar or call your library for times and program specifics.

Colfax – Four different Yoga programs – Licensed instructors lead different programs for different levels and goals.  Call for more information.
