WCL Calendar Sampling Nov. 5-12




Thursday, November 5

Colfax, Lacrosse, Malden, & Tekoa – Early Learning Fun – Socialization and reading readiness for age 0 to 6 and their caregivers.  Check the calendar or call your library for times and program specifics.

Palouse – 3:30 p.m. – Crazy 8s – Kids grades K-2 grades do you like to build stuff, make music, make a mess? Crazy 8s is an over-the-top club designed to get kids fired up about math!

Albion – 4 p.m. – Thursday Art – Open to all ages but geared to 5-12 year olds.  Programs are led by WSU students.

Friday, November 6

Colfax, Endicott, Malden, Palouse, St. John & Uniontown – Preschool Excitement – Fun and reading readiness for age 0 to 6 and their caregivers.  Check the calendar or call your library for times and program specifics.

Colfax – 4 to 6:30 p.m. – Rising Stars Dance – Three classes for different ages. For more information and pricing, please call Keri at (509) 432-6961.
Saturday, November 7

Endicott – 1 to 4 p.m. – Crafternoon – A time for adults to finish or start a project. Bring along projects, a snack to share, and a friend.

Sunday, November 8

Colfax – 6 to 7:30 p.m. – Engineering Your Divinity, a lecture series - Engineer a happy, vibrant and abundant life using actionable tools and accessing grace.  For more information, please contact Aubrey Aguilar at (509) 288-1031.

Monday, November 9

St. John – 11a.m. to 1 p.m. – Tech Monday – Drop in basic computer help every second Monday. 

Albion – 7 p.m. – Book Club – Call the library, 338-9641, for more information.

Tuesday, November 10

Colfax – Four different Yoga programs – Licensed instructors lead different programs for different levels and goals. Call the library for more information.

Endicott – 1 to 4 p.m. - Medicare Supplement Help – Drop in for impartial help from trained volunteers from the Washington Insurance Commissioner.

Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m. – Bingo & Pie – Seniors are invited for Bingo & Pie on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday. This event is free thanks to funding from Empire Health Foundation.

Wednesday, November 11

All Branches – All branches of the Whitman County Library are closed for Veterans Day.  Our website and digital collections remain available.

Thursday, November 12

Colfax – 1 to 4 p.m. – Heritage Capital Projects - HCP grants can cover up to 1/3 the cost of eligible capital projects that preserve and interpret Washington’s history and heritage. Local organizations to learn about this grant opportunity and skills to create a compelling project and a competitive application.
