Whitman County's Little Free Libraries

Little Free Libraries are designed to inspire a love of reading, build community, and spark creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges. Residents are encouraged to "take a book and leave a book,"  but individuals may take as many books to read as they like or leave a few of their personal books for others to enjoy. To learn more about the Free Little Libraries nationwide visit

At times there are even audiobooks or DVDs available. Click here to learn more about Colfax's Little Free Library's design and construction.
