Baptist Church in Colfax – 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – Bicycle Rodeo & Car Seat Safety Check – Obstacle course, bike safety and helmet fit inspection. Children needing a new or proper fitting helmet will receive a free helmet courtesy of the Colfax Thrifty Grandmothers. Car seat safety check provided by Whitman Hospital’s Child Passenger Safety Technicians.

Oakesdale – 11 a.m. – Cecil’s Magic – We are gearing up for Summer Reading by welcoming Cecil and his magic show. Everyone’s invited!

Community Blood Drive-May 22-Colfax Library

Colfax Library Hosts INBC Blood Drive Thursday, May 22, 2:00-5:30 p.m.

Find the hero in you.  Give blood three times a year!The gift of blood is the gift of life. You can save the lives of three people by donating blood Thursday, May 22, 2:00-5:30 p.m. Appointments may be made online at www.inbcsaves.org. According to the Inland Northwest Blood Center, here are a few facts about donations:

1. Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States needs a blood product.
2. Although 60% of Americans are eligible to donate blood, only approximately 5% actually do.
3. It is estimated that one in three individuals will need a blood product sometime during their life.
Present to give blood and enter to win a grill and $100 gift card Present to give blood May 22 and Enter to win a grill and $100 gift card. 
Walk-ins will be seen on a first come, first serve basis with photo I.D. required. Donors should drink plenty of fluids and eat a meal at least two hours prior to arrival.
