Ozobot Trick or Treating!

Halloween Ozobot Fun & Games! Monday, Oct. 29, 12:30 - 2 p.m. for grades 5 and up in the TEK Center!

Costume Fun: Create a costume for your Ozobot and join the Ozobot parade of costumes. 

Games: Guide your bot through neighborhood to trick or treat, follow the spiderweb, and other games!

Role of Nutrition in Cancer Prevention, Treatment, and Survivorship



In today’s media driven world, nutrition recommendations can get confusing.  Join Brenna VanDalsen, Clinical Dietitian and Outpatient Nutrition Education Services at Whitman Hospital, for an informative presentation on Wednesday, October 24 at 12 p.m. in the Colfax Library’s meeting room that will answer nutrition questions and set the record straight in cancer prevention.  Learn how nutrition and physical activity can help you manage side effects of cancer treatment and also help you live the vibrant life you crave as a cancer survivor.

So Much FUN for KIDS at the Colfax Library this Week!

Colfax Library has lots of fun, kid-friendly activities coming up!


STEM Build It Hour: Wind Up Cars! Wed. Oct. 17, 12:30-1:30 pm
Kids grades 1 & up, come to the TEK Center for STEM Build It Hour! You will construct a wind up car using plates, a cup, and a rubberband. Then it's off to the wind up car races! Test your car to see how fast and far it will go! (JES students ride bus #8 with parent permission)

Brainy Fun & Games Thurs. Oct. 18, 3:30 pm
How does your brain work? Join WSU's Neuroscience Club for brain facts, crafts, and interactive FUN for everyone! Grades 1 - 4, join us for Third Thursday on Oct. 18, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Colfax Library. (JES Kids may take bus 8 with a permission slip). 


Storytime - F is for Firefighter (Storytime offered Every Thursday Morning 10 -11:30 am

Come to the Coflax Library to meet a real firefighter! Everyone is welcome! Storytime is a FREE listening and pre-reading experience for children birth to age 5. Kiddos and parents/ caregivers enjoy engaging stories and imaginative activities that include songs, crafts, puppets, and more!

Play & Learn - Friday Mornings, 10-11:30 am

Happy Hour Yoga Benefiting Colfax Cheerleaders!

Unwind from the Busy Fall Season with "Happy Hour Yoga"

Happy Hour Yoga benefiting Colfax High Cheerleading comes to the Colfax Library on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.!


Instructor Suzy McNeilly, RYT200 certified will guide participants through Yin Yoga poses that release tight fascia, hamstrings, hips and backs while providing a much needed tonic of wine and sweets to further relax and soothe the soul. 

ALL ages are welcome for an hour of refreshing Yoga at 6 p.m. followed by an optional “Happy Hour” that includes snacks and beverages. All proceeds and donations benefit the Colfax Cheerleaders! Feel free to come to just yoga or happy hour or stay for both!

3D Printing Demo Today at 12 or at 5 p.m.!

A *NEW* 3D printer has just arrived at the Colfax Library

3D Demo TODAY, Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 12 to 1 p.m. & 5 to 6 p.m.



This class introduces participants to 3D printing services now available at the library! During the orientation, an overview will be given of 3D printing policy/pricing, design software, and how to submit a printing project. Come and see this fantastic tech at work!

Library Celebrates 1st Thursday with Voter Registration, 3D Printing, Expanded Book Sale, and Mammography Presentation

The Colfax Library is offering voter registration, 3D printing demonstrations and expanded Book Sales as part Colfax’s 1st Thursday Celebration on Thursday, October 4th. First Thursday features the music of Sammy Eubanks and a beer garden starting at 5 p.m., free root beer floats from 3-7 p.m. at the Methodist Church and a fun run to benefit the town’s swimming pool!

Everything is happening of First Thursday, Oct. 4!

Register to Vote! The League of Women Voters will register voters and provide other assistance from 3-6 p.m. while Tech Librarians demo the library’s new 3D printer and share information about upcoming classes. Finally, Friends of the Library will provide expanded books sale merchandise inside and outside the library all day long.

Breast Cancer Awareness & Mammography. Every Woman Can, Paint the Town Pink, and Dr. Christian Reisenauer are hosting an informative presentation, answering questions, and erasing the myths about mammograms from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Colfax Library's Tech Center. We hope to raise awareness and funds to assist residents with breast health services provided locally.

Book Sale! Kids' books, adult books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks! Everything is 50 cents each, except VHS & youth books which are only are 25 cents or five for a dollar! SPECIAL: 10 Music CDs/ $1.00! (All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library and library programs. Library book sale available 7 days a week)
