Thursday, December 1

Colfax – Winterfest in the Center.  Celebrate with Santa from 3-5:30, crafts for kids, Festival of Trees, vendors and hot cocoa!  A great place to hang out while waiting for the lighted parade and fireworks at 6 p.m.

St. John – 6:30 p.m. – Trivia Night at the Rialto, join Clancy and Sarah with your trivia team and see how much you know!  If everyone on your team brings in their library card you could win a prize!

Colton – 5:30 to 7 p.m. – Bingo and Pie night join Holly for a fun game of bingo and don’t forget the yummy pie!

Friday, December 2

Uniontown – 9:30 to 12:30 – SHIBA, WCL and Joyce and Daniel Leonard are providing free Medicare assistance for both current and future Medicare recipients.

Saturday, December 3

Colfax – 10:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Mosaic Sculpture with Lisa Soranka offered by Community Colleges of Spokane this course should be a great time!  Register early to save your space!  Cost is $16 for a one day session. Colfax – 1 to 3 p.m. – Christmas High Tea in the Center with the Colfax Tea Club.  Cost is $25 for one person or $125 for a table of six. Seating is limited with proceeds going to the Late Bloomers Garden Club.

St. John – 11 to 1 p.m. – Local Author Fred Hale is bringing his new book "Through a Passage in Time".  Drop by for a cup of coffee and visit with him about his book.  Copies will be available for purchase.

Tuesday, December 6

Colfax  –  2 to 4 p.m. – Coffee Cookies and Coloring with Molly, bring your own project or use the library supplies!

Wednesday, December 7

Endicott, Garfield, LaCrosse, Malden, Oakesdale, Rosalia, St. John, and Tekoa – Early Release programs for Wacky Wednesday!  Times vary so call your branch or check out the Library Events Calendar for more information.

Colfax – 1 to 3 p.m. – Lego Mindstorms EV3 program Explore the world of robotics during this hands-on introduction to Lego Mindstorm EV3 Robotics.  Kids grades 5 and up are invited to build and learn basic programming techniques to complete robot challenges. 

Colfax – 5:30 p.m. – The Hospice Tree of Lights and Remembrance.  Community members are invited to attend this solemn and touching event.  If you are interested in paying tribute to a special person in your life who has died, or if you would like more information about this or a similar event at Bishop’s Place in Pullman please contact Friends of Hospice at (509) 332-4414.

All 14 Branches – Closed: Happy Thanksgiving.

Palouse – 7:45 a.m. – The 12^th Annual Turkey Leg Fun Run brought to you by the Library and the Green Frog Café. This is a great time and the proceeds fund children’s books for the library, donations are always welcomed and can be turned in at the library or the Green Frog.  Meet at the Green Frog to register and start the race!

Friday, November 25

All 14 Branches – Closed.

Saturday, November 26

Tekoa – noon to 2 p.m. – STEM math and Lego’s with Diane, this is a fun activity for all ages, while you celebrate Small Business Saturday throughout town!

Rosalia – 2 to 4:30 p.m. – Library decoration party, Students from grades 6 through 12 can come in and decorate for Christmas!  Bring your friends for food, music and of course food!

Monday, November 28

Uniontown – 6 p.m. – Bingo/ Potluck Night, Petra is hosting a potluck and bingo night visit the library for fun and great food!

LaCrosse – 6:30 p.m. – Adult Coloring is relaxing and good for your heath!  Bring your own supplies or use what the library provides!

Palouse – 7 p.m. – Meet the authors, Mary Estes and Shirley Leendersten; learn about becoming a Master Gardner and share tips and tricks to growing roses.

Tuesday, November 29

Albion– 3:30 to 6 p.m. – Medicare assistance with Joyce and Daniel Leonard and SHIBA.  This free workshop will help current and future Medicare recipients.

Wednesday, November 30

Malden – 6 to 8:30 p.m. – Decorate the Malden Library!  Marcy will be decorating for the Holidays 6^th through 12 grade students can come in and join her as she makes the library festive!  There will be lots of food, crafts and fun music!

12th Annual Turkey Leg Run!

Be a part of the Thanksgiving Day Tradition in Palouse, Washington by participating in the 12th Annual Turkey Leg Fun Run on Thursday, November 24 at 7:45 a.m. While your turkey roasts, you can run, jog or walk helping raise money for a great cause.  All proceeds are used to fund new children’s books and fun activities for the Palouse Library.

The U.S. Post Office was located on the south side of Steptoe Avenue in Oakesdale, Washington. On the town's first application for a post office the name was spelled as Oaksdale. The post office was established April 1, 1887 at which time an "e" was added to the name and was then spelled Oakesdale. LaCrosse – 7:00 p.m. – If Country Heat is a bit too difficult for you, come for Slim and Six!  This low impact exercise class is free; just remember to bring your towel and water!

Colax – 10 to 2 p.m. – Free assistance with Medicare offered by the library and SHIBA at the Public Health Building.  This impartial assistance for current and future Medicare recipients will save you time and money.

Garfield – 1 p.m. – School is out early so come to the library for a fun movie and Storytime! 

Colfax – 2:30 – SNAKES ALIVE!  Residents of all ages are invited to join Dr. Gordon Wilson and his snakes at this fun and educational free program.
