Oakesdale – 12:30 p.m. – Kids get your pirate gear on and lets dig for some hidden treasures!

Free coffee just for reading!
Hey local Teens and Adults ... get reading this summer. In Colfax, everyone gets a free coffee drink just for reading and briefly reporting on 3 books (loved it ... hated it!). All entries are thrown in a grand prize drawing for a cool teen basket or Rosauers gift certificate. Special thanks to Events on Main and Rosauers for your continued support!
Tablet computers ... what to buy and how to use them!
With so many choices in tablet computing, do you wonder which is right for you? On Saturday, June 15 from 1-4 p.m. in the Colfax Library, Charles Snyder discusses everything from Apple iPads, and Google Androids to the new Microsoft Windows RT tablets. Participants will learn the basic skills needed to connect to the Internet, find and install applications and discover the accessories that can help you get the most from your tablet.

Ukulele Players needed...
All Ukulele players and enthusiasts are encouraged to grab their instruments and attend an organizational meeting of the Ukulele Players of the Palouse or U POP on Sunday, June 23 from 2-4 p.m. in the Colfax Library.
Scott Hallett of Colfax is organizing this meeting with the hope of attracting players from all across the region. U POP is open to people of all ages and skill levels. From beginner to expert, U POP members will provide mutual support, share and play music, improve their skills and most importantly have a great time together.
Because this is an organizational meeting, attendees will discuss their preferences for meeting times and frequency, locations and activities. For more information, contact Scott Hallett at 509-288-2208
Summer Reading For All Ages at WCL
Whitman County Library invites everyone to “Dig Into Reading” during the 2013 Summer Reading program in all 14 branches. Participation, activities and prizes are for all ages, baby through adult. Stop in any branch or visit the library website for details.
Youth who read (or are read to) 10 books or 10 hours during the summer qualify for the completion certificate and prizes. Teens and adults can also participate by reading and reviewing three books over the summer. They’ll receive coffee drinks, pizza slices or other treats while qualifying to be included in a grand prize drawing that includes a $50 Rosauers gift certificate.
Exciting family programs booked for the summer include magician Kenneth K, comedy juggler Matt Baker, Music with Miriam, concerts from Hank Cramer, the Palouse Discover Science Center, author Kelly Milner Halls, Judy Grey and her worms and magician Dick Frost. These programs are all brought to you by sponsorship from area businesses and individuals and the Friends of Whitman County Library.

The summer session for children's dance classes has begun at the Colfax
Library each Wednesday from 3:30-7:30 and run through August 14. New
students are still being accepted with the classes featuring ballet and
jazz. All youth ages 3 through high school are invited to participate. For
