Groovin' Family Yoga - June 12!

Are you feeling overwhelmed with work, meals, laundry, birthday parties, and an endless list of other summer activities? Is it difficult to find an inexpensive program that every family member can enjoy that doesn’t break the budget? Then the Colfax Library has a suggestion for you!

Yoga is physically, mentally, and emotionally beneficial for all ages. This class is designed for family togetherness with interactive poses, movement with music, breathing and relaxation. 


Libraries ROCK with Suzy's Groovin' Family YOGA Collaborative Summer Reading Program for ALL ages on Tuesday, June 12 at 4-5 p.m. Dress in comfy clothes!

Celebrate First Thursday at Colfax Library

First Thursdays return to downtown Colfax this week on June 7!

Summer Reading signups, a book sale blowout and voter registration are all part of the festivities set for Thursday, June 7 from 3-6 p.m., in front of the Colfax Library! These activities join with live music from The Hankers, food, a beer garden, local shopping, vendors and other fun planned for Colfax’s 1st Thursday celebration! Shop locally and enter to win a $100 cash prize!


Summer Reading Signups
Kids, teens, and adults signup for Summer Reading at the library booth from 3 to 6 p.m. or inside the library ANYTIME!3 to 6pm in front of the Colfax Library or ANYTIME inside the library! 

Register to Vote
The League of Women Voters will be on hand to register voters, update information, or answer questions. 3 to 6 p.m. 3 to 6pm in front of the Colfax Library

Book Sale Blowout
Visit the Colfax Library's fabulous outdoor/ indoor book sale, Thursday June 7, ALL DAY and see what hidden treasures you might find! We have cookbooks, novels, non-fiction, vintage books, DVDs, CDs and more! 50 cents each or special 3/ $1.00!!! 3 to 6pm in front of the Colfax Library or ANYTIME inside of the library!

The Annual WCL LEGO® CONTEST is ON!


Whitman County Library LEGO Contest K-12! Construct an original masterpiece with LEGOs, incorporating the Summer Reading theme, "Libraries Rock!" 

Submit one project no larger than 11" x 11" x 11" in size to the Colfax Library on Tuesday June 12, 2018. Projects will be displayed in the library until July 3, 2018. All projects must be picked up on July 3 by 5 p.m. 


Submitted projects will be judged on creativity, originality, and relation to the theme. A prize will be awarded to the creator of the winning project of each age group: K - 3rd, 4th - 6th, 7th - 12th grade. 

Awards will be announced on July 3 at the 4 p.m. Summer Reading Program.
