Weeds or insects got you down? Mark your calendar for this event...
Whitman County Library is partnering with the Washington State University Extension Office to help gardeners and farmers identify and control weeds and insects. In workshops set for August 21 and 22, residents can bring their questions about weeds and insects to one of eight scheduled open format programs for individual help from the following experts:
Stephen Van Vleet - the Regional Extension Specialist in Agriculture and Natural Resources has 20 years of education and experience in Entomology and Agronomy. Nelle Murray - the Noxious Weed Control Coordinator from Asotin County.
Richard Old - has a doctorate in Weed Science from U of Idaho and is a Western Weed ID Specialist.
Wednesday, Aug 21
Colfax 10 to 11:30, Oakesdale 12 to 1, Tekoa 1:30 to 3, St. John 4 to 5:30
Thursday, Aug 22
Lacrosse 10 to 11:30, Palouse 1:30 to 3, Albion 3:30 to 4:30, Colton 5 to 6:30
