Bread making and a full lineup of enrichment classes announced for Colfax
Learn the art of bread making from Kelli Collins and tour Joseph’s Grainery as part of a new lineup of fall classes at the Colfax Library. This farm to table experience is Monday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with pre-registration required. Cost is just $14.Five years ago, Colfax’s own Kelli Collins and her dad, Bill Myers, began selling the family farm’s whole wheat directly to consumers through Joesephsgrainery.com. After getting many questions about how to use the grain, Kelli decided it was time to start blogging her favorite whole wheat recipes. Participants in the bread making class will receive Kelli’s recipes, cooking tips, and tasty samples along with a tour from her dad at the Grainery.
These non-credit classes set for fall include drawing, beginning ballet, ukulele for all levels, watercolors, mosaic sculpture and more. Sponsorship by Community Colleges of Spokane keeps registration costs very low. To sign up, call 800-845-3324 or visit www.iel.spokane.edu/ACT2.
For a lineup of countywide classes and programs, visit the Whitman County Library Events Calendar at www.whitco.lib.wa.us or call 509-397-4366.
