Thursday, February 12

Colfax – 6p.m. – Mayor’s Roundtable – Mayors and administrators from across Whitman County meet quarterly to discuss projects and issues of concern. For more information or if you would like to attend, contact Robin Ohlgren of Southeastern Washington Economic Development Assoc. robin@seweda.org.

Farmington – 7:30 p.m. – Mom’s night out – Crafts, treats and some grown-up time.


Friday, February 13

Endicott, LaCrosse, St. John & Uniontown – Early learning Storytime with books, singing and crafts for ages six and younger.   Check the calendar for times.

 

Saturday, February 14

Colfax – Palouse Plein Air Exhibit – Featuring award winning work of 10 artists who competed in the competition in Moscow, Idaho last fall. Exhibit is open during regular library hours.

All Branches – Food for Fines – Help your neighbors and clear library fines.  Donations accepted until February 28.

 

Sunday & Monday, February 15 & 16

All Branches – Our locations are closed for Presidents Day, but all our online services and wifi are available.

 

Tuesday, February 17

Farmington, Palouse, Rosalia & Uniontown – Pre-School programs – Social time for kids and parents with play, singing, crafts and storytelling for ages 6 and younger. Visit the online calendar for times.

Colfax – 12 p.m. – Chamber Luncheon – Join the Colfax Chamber for this monthly meeting and luncheon. The community is encouraged to attend.  For more details, contact the Chamber at 397-3712.



Wednesday, February 18

Colfax (3 p.m.) & Albion (6 p.m.) – Privacy and Personality in the Digital Age – Educator and Journalist, Alex Alben addresses concepts of privacy, digital tracking and celebrity in the online age.  This program is made possible by the Technology Made Easy grant to WCL from the Washington State Library through funding provided by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.



Thursday, February 19

St. John (12 p.m.) & Tekoa (6 p.m.) – Privacy and Personality in the Digital Age – In the age of celebrity culture and the rapid growth of online communities, personal privacy is under threat.  This highly interactive presentation discusses coping with the digital environment.  Program funded by a grant to WCL from the Washington State Library through funding provided by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Endicott – 7p.m. – Book Club – Join us for a discussion of Water for Elephants. Copies of the book are available at the library.
