New books on climate change, disasters and nuclear reactors!

By Rachelle Ledbetter

Imagine a blackout lasting for months, affecting tens of millions of people.  No water, no refrigeration, no heat.  It isn’t just a scenario.  One well designed attack on just one of the nation’s power grids could cripple the infrastructure.  This book evaluates the threat and helps you learn how to survive the worst.

Voices from Chernobyl by Svetlana Aleksievich

On April 26, 1986 the worst nuclear reactor accident in history occurred, contaminating three quarters of Europe and affecting millions.  This book tells the oral history of many of the people affected by the melt-down.

This second edition book will walk you through understanding climate change with graphs, illustrations and charts and help you separate fact from fiction.
