ACT 2 Fall Courses:
The Palouse & World War One
This course has been cancelled due to low enrollment. Please look for it in upcoming semesters. Anyone interested in ACT 2 courses is encouraged to register early.
The Palouse, played a little known, but important role in the First World War, even before the U.S. entered the conflict in April 1917. Discover how the area prepared, as America geared up to fight The War To End All Wars. Southeast Washington changed overnight, with women entering the workforce, food rationing, Victory Gardens, a universal draft, censorship, and the search for spies and subversives. Introduction to Ukulele - Absolute beginners and intermediate ukulele players are welcome! Ukulele is becoming more and more popular...and GREAT NEWS! It is one of the easiest stringed instruments to learn how to play! Instructor: Scott Hallett.; Cost $17. Oct. 11 - Nov. 1 on Wednesdays, 6-7:30 pm
Mosaic Sculpture - Mosaic is the art of assembling small pieces of broken glass or other material into patterns or images. Used by ancient Romans and modern artists alike, mosaic design is an enjoyable and useful art form to learn! Instructor: Lisa Soranaka; Cost $20. Oct. 21 on Saturday, 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
