Wendy Zuppan Bailey is the March 7th featured Artist The Colfax Arts Council is pleased to announce that Wendy Zuppan Bailey, a mixed media sculptor from Spokane, will be the featured artist on Thursday, March 7 at 7:00 PM at the Colfax library. Featured in the premier season of Meet the Artist, this is Wendy’s second visit to Colfax and we are thrilled to have her back. As stated on Wendy’s web page, her work is defined by “curiously merry whimsical sculptures and paper doll puppetry”. Inspired by fairy tales, children’s books and the magical adventures of everyday life, Wendy’s work is amusing, mysterious and accessible. Using clay, found objects, vintage fabrics, beads and laces, Wendy’s creations speak to the imagination and incorporate sculpting, fabric art, costume design and painting.
