WCL Calendar Sampling April 10-April 17

Thursday, April 10
Palouse – 3:45 to 5 p.m. – After School Homework and Game Time – The Center for Civic Engagement (WSU) students will be available to assist 4th graders and up with their homework. Afterwards, there will be time for board and/or video games.

Friday, April 11
Malden – 11 a.m. to Noon – Computer Help 101 – Learn online computer skills to stay safely connected. Create email and social media accounts such as Facebook and Pinterest. Funding for this program is provided through a LSTA digital literacy grant, Get Comfortable in the Digital World.

Saturday, April 12
Tekoa – 10 a.m. – Fun Run Tie Dye – Join us for a fun run and end at the library to make your free t-shirt into a tie dye masterpiece.

Sunday, April 13
Colfax – Rob Smith Art Exhibit – Watercolor exhibit by Rob Smith is featured in the foyer of the library for the month of April. Besides watercolors, Rob creates animations, editorial cartoons, websites and videos. Visit his website at www.robsmithstudios.com for more information.

Monday, April 14
Endicott & LaCrosse – Computer Help 101 – Learn online computer skills to stay safely connected. Create email and social media accounts such as Facebook and Pinterest. Oakesdale School – 8:45 a.m. – Palouse Discovery Science Center – Kathy Dawes from PDSC is presenting a hands on program all about wind power. Students will construct their own wind power vehicle.
Colfax – Noon &7 p.m. – Relocalizing Flour Milling – Join Steve Fulton of Unifine Flour milling as he explores the latest technology that can bring this healthier process right to your hometown.
Rosalia & Tekoa – Digital Photo Help – Learn how to edit and create photos worth bragging about with online tools such as PicMonkey. Funding for this program is provided through a LSTA digital literacy grant, Get Comfortable in the Digital World. Visit our online calendar for times.

Wednesday, April 16
Rosalia – 12:15 p.m. – Teen Art – Teens are welcomed to get creative with patterned duct tape project with Teen Librarian Nichole Kopp.

Thursday, April 17
Colfax – Noon to 1:30 p.m. – Create Your Own Green Cleaning Kit – Judi Gray demonstrates how you can make your own natural household cleaners using a variety of materials from castile soap to essential oils. All supplies are provided.
Albion – 6 to 7 p.m. – Digital Photo Help – Learn how to edit and create photos worth bragging about with online tools such as PicMonkey. Funding for this program is provided through a LSTA digital literacy grant, Get Comfortable in the Digital World.
