SUBJECT: Explore eReaders, Tablets and other Tech Toys
Thinking
of buying your first digital device or upgrading from an eReader to a
tablet? Whitman County Library is taking the Washington State Library’s
digital menagerie on a county-wide tour between March 5 and 16. According
to Community Services Librarian Clancy Pool, “This is a chance test drive over
20 different devices. Kindles, Nooks, ipads, and small laptops are just
some of the wide range of technology toys available for a hands-on experience
during the open house programs.”

Thursday Mar 5 – Colfax 1 to 4 pm
Saturday Mar 7 – Rosalia 10 am to 1 pm, Colfax

Tuesday Mar 10 – Endicott 12 to 2 pm, Lacrosse
3 to 5 pm
Wednesday Mar 11 – Oakesdale 11 am to 1:30 pm,

Thursday Mar 12 – Farmington 2:30 to 4 pm,
Tekoa 5 to 7 pm
Friday Mar 13 – St. John 12 to 2:30 pm, Malden
3 to 5 pm
Saturday Mar 14 – Palouse 11 am to 1 pm, Albion
2 to 4 pm
Monday Mar 16 – Colton 12 to 4 pm
The
following week WCL is offering eight fun workshops to help casual or
experienced genealogy buffs use online resources to explore family history.
The
programs are supported by “Technology
Made Easy” grant funding provided
to the Washington State Library by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
