WCL Calendar Sampling March 26-April 2




Thursday, March 26

Lacrosse – 7 to 9 p.m. – Dryland, documentary film screening, and discussion – an intimate portrait of rural America in transition, through the eyes of a young man pursuing his dream and a town fighting to survive.  Free program made possible with funding from Humanities Washington. 

St. John (10:30 a.m.) & Palouse (6:30 p.m.)   Musician and historian Hank Cramer presents The Seven Tongues of Flame: Ireland’s Easter Rebellion of 1916 – Learn the power of music and poetry to change governments when violence fails. 

Farmington (2 to 3:30 p.m.) & Tekoa (4 to 6 p.m.) – Computer Basics – Help with basic computer skills including: Resume help, on-line searching and using digital library services.  Preregistration encouraged.

St. John – 4 to 6 p.m. – Explore eReaders and other Tech Toys – Get hands on experience with over 20 digital devices on loan from the Washington State Library.

Friday, March 27

Colfax High School, Colton Library & Endicott Library – Music on the Palouse – Three different programs in three different locations. Check the calendar or call your library for more details.

Saturday, March 28

Oakesdale (11a.m.) & Albion (3 p.m.) – Music on the Palouse – Listen and learn from musician and historian Hank Cramer.  Two different acoustic programs. 

Monday, March 30

St. John (2 p.m.) & Tekoa (5:30 p.m.) – What’s for Dinner? – Join Kelli Collins, cooking instructor and food blogger as she helps you take your cooking to a whole new level using the Internet.

Tuesday, March 31

Endicott (1 to 3 p.m.) & Lacrosse (4- 6 p.m.) – Computer Basics – Help with basic computer skills including: Resume help, on-line searching and using digital library services.  Preregistration encouraged.

Colfax – 3:30 p.m. – Teen Blackout Poetry – Participants will create poetry using a book page, newspaper, ink and watercolor with Teen Librarian Nichole Kopp.

Wednesday, April 1

St. John (12 p.m.) & Colfax (3 p.m.) – Internet Selling Learn from two experienced online sellers how to supplement your family's income with Amazon, eBay & Etsy.  Set-up help, as well ask plenty of time for questions is available at the end of the class.
