All 14 branches of Whitman County Library will close Monday, June 27 to repair a failing computer server and complete related system upgrades. A number of regularly scheduled community programs including Colfax Fit and Fun and Bootcamp, Colton Summer Reading and LaCrosse Play and Learn will take place as scheduled.
During the repairs, access to the library's online catalog will not be available. Due dates for library materials have been extended in anticipation of the closure and no late fines will be charged for this day. Drop boxes will remain open at all locations for returned items. Access to downloadable audio and eBooks, and databases for the online librarian, genealogy, foreign language instruction and other services remains available by visiting the library's website at www.whitco.lib.wa.us.
