Family History Research, Ebay Basics and Ukulele classes are
coming to the Colfax Library thanks to a partnership with Community Colleges of
Spokane. Residents are encouraged to register early for these non-credit
community enrichment classes which are provided at a low cost through the ACT2
program.
Carolyn Arnett, an experienced family researcher leads the
Family History class. Participants will expand their family trees using a
variety of new resources and learning easy techniques for organizing the
results. The class is Tuesdays from 1-4 p.m., from April 4 - May 23rd.
Introduction to Ukulele is taught by popular local
instructor Scott Hallett (photo right) and is ideal for those who want to learn or who
already know a few simple cords. This class runs on Wednesdays from 6-7:30,
April 5- April 26.
ebay Basics teaches you the tips, tricks and traps to avoid
when selling your items. Successful eBay entrepreneurs Chris Hoch and Karen
Giles-Hoch tech the class on Wednesday, May 10 from 5:30-9. An eBay quick start
guide is included.
Finally, there is still time to register for Steve Balzarini’s
class, Age of the Fighting Sail. Set for March 15 and 22 at 6:30, the class
covers the British naval strategy and tactics during the Wars of the French
Revolution and Napoleon, 1789-1815.
